Hugh,
I thought of that right after sending my post.  If you have problem with
circulation as the cause of the sores, fighting infection is just treating
the symptoms.  Promoting circulation is the key (I can learn :).

Does the silver promote healing?  I don't know what a Silverlon bandage is,
but if silver promotes healing, mixing CS with DMSO (I'd try half and half)
will get the silver into the tissue and quickly.  Some other people may have
some refinements of the process, but you can know better what your situation
needs.
