In Japan Dr. Nakagawa, the head of Isuzu Hospital in Tokyo claims Magnetic Deficiency Syndrome is a contributory cause of many illnesses such as arthritis, cancer, allergies, alzheimers, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, bronchitis, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, immune deficiency, etc. A number of medical doctors are now using magnets in their practices. Most people who start using magnets feel the beneficial action almost immediately and are no longer comfortable without them.
_________________ Many factors, beside the natural cyclic waxing and waning of geomagnetic energy contribute to the diminishing of direct current (DC) magnetic energy to our body. Some of these are the result of interference from the AC current of man-made electromagnetic radiation which is incompatible with our bodies' biomagnetic emanations which include television, radio, radar, household appliances, computers, electrical wiring in buildings, nearby power lines and other sources. The effects of working and living in concrete and steel structures further cut us off from the Earth's direct magnetic force. The automobile, train, jet plane, bus and other hi-tech modes of travel are other ways we are deprived of important natural magnetism from the Earth. Shrinking open spaces, living high above sea level on ground covered with concrete and asphalt and the decreasing amount of ground water all contribute to lack of conductivity and Magnetic Field Deficiency Syndrome (MFDS). The magnetic energy of our planet is responsible for the natural biorhythms of life. In Traditional Chinese Medicine these biorhythms describe how Qi or bio-magnetic energy is concentrated in certain areas of the body according to cycles of each day and season. It may also be concentrated in certain areas on the Earth that inexplicably have been able to retain their magnetic strength. These are recognized earth healing areas such as Lourdes, France and Sedona, Arizona. (CS>structured water hooey?) Symptoms of MFDS may be similar to a variety of chronic conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, candida albicans and environmental allergies. MFDS typically is associated with a general malaise and low energy, frequent susceptibility to disease, tightness of the neck and shoulders, fibro-myalgic body pains, forgetfulness, headaches, digestive and circulatory problems and a general 'foggy' feeling. (CS>here are a couple of great links::) http://www.lgstrust.com/magnets_in_the_body.htm http://www.hopeint.org/off/9612-04.htm (ME Duncan::) (In the previous post ....In the top six physical stressors I said chocolate - that's under caffeine. I forgot nicotine as one of the majors.....) It's difficult to quantify magnetic Deficiency Syndrome with our measuring techniques, but most of us are magnetically stressed, some more than others. The varied symptoms are remarkably like other chronic stress patterns, arent they? But when those have been ruled out, this is likely what we're facing. Regardless, you can use magnetic therapy. It's good for everyone even without a diagnosis. For severe cases of depression and insomnia, Transcranial Electronic Stimulation (CES, or 'electrosleep') is a good balancer and apparently over-the-counter here in Canada. You could buy an Alphastim or you can build them. Though success is often achieved with static magnets, better success is achieved with low power wearable PEMT devices such as the www.vitamag.com and the the two at www.magnapak.com because they are designed to complement the brainwaves and the earth's flux, where a static magnet does not. But in a pinch, the static magnets can be remarkably cheap for what they do www.wondermagnet.com sells great neodymium mags, 10x or more stronger than ceramics. ciao Duncan
