My wife has a long-standing sinus infection and recently has been putting CS
into her nostrils. She reported a burning sensation the first time she used
it. She repeated for a couple of days without the burning, then missed a
couple of days. When she resumed she had the burning sensation the first
time
 again, but not subsequently.

I have not heard or read of CS causing a burning sensation. Does anyone have
an idea about what is happening?

Allen: Others can comment better than I, but I believe that it is NOT due to
the CS, but that lack of the balanced salts that are found in body tissue or
blood. So if you want to eliminate the burning, add the salt solution that's
used for IV's (I think) Roger
