I have references to both the trapper treated with cayenne, and the burn
unit, but I am not sure they are here with me in Ohio, I am pretty sure I
left
them in Virginai. The burn unit reference is in a fairly old book on
vitamins put out by ROdales. As far as my husband and I were able to
determine the hospital referenced is the only burn unit in the world that
uses
vitamin c to such effectiveness. We first read of it in this book 12
years
ago and then soon after got bad sunburn on a vacation and were in the middle
of
nowhere, but we did have vitamin c with us, so we crushed up a nuber of the
vit.
c pills in some water and used paper towels to wipe it on our sunburn and
true
to the word the pain vanished almost upon touch, and it would remain nearly
painless for up to 4 or 5 hours and then more vit c soloution applied would
again soothe aways the pain and sunburn that would have normally taken a week
to
heal was gone in under 3 days. Amazing. Rodales publishing may or may
not
remember the hospital burn unit they cited in their book. But what
burns
me up(pun intended) is why is not this information disseminated and used in
the
protocols of all burn units nationwide. I guess because it is too cheap
and simple a soloution, debridement surgery is much more of a money
maker.
I have seen the reference about the trapper and cayenne actually cited
in
more than one source. I think I have it in a gardening book at home
that
was written just about the lore of cayenne pepper, and I have seen it in one
or
two books on natural healing.

Barb
