Ted, Your adapter no doubt is rated at 9 volts 300 milliamps. Otherwise, you would have the equivalent of an arc welder (300 amps). For the tiny load your CS generator is to your wall adapter, the voltage is probably more like 10 to 11 volts, since most adapters are not regulated.
