Mitch,

This is the way I make mine. Mine is perfectly clear and has a very very
slight metalic taste.

I start with quart mason jar of steam distilled water. Let it "cook" for 15
minutes. Remove the wires wipe them off and stir the water. cook for another
15 minutes, wipe the wires and stir. cook for 5 minutes, wipe stir, repeat
this step until I see a tyndal I like. Not very scientific, but it works for
me.

  Subject: CS>Help with homemade generator

Hello, I have just recently seen the benefits of colloidal silver with some
warts that I HAD. Therefore... I have started to make my own cs at home. I am
not sure if I am successful with my attempts.
I made my generator from some instructions I found on the net. (made with
simple parts from Radio Shack). After using pure steam distilled water, and
after about 5 different attempts, varying timing and water temperature, I am
not sure what I have come up with! I have read so many different variations on
procedures for making it, I am not sure which to believe is the best or correct
way to go. I suppose that I would like to obtain a clear (not cloudy) solution
that is colorless or slightly yellow and has no more than 5 ppm. I am really
not interested in making gallons at a time - just a few ounces at a time. I do
not live in an area where I have access to a testing lab so that I might get my
cs tested for ppm; and is this entirely necessary anyway? Will there be
variations each time you make a "batch" or will the properties be consistent if
performed the same way each time? On the first try, I used 8 oz. room temp
(72 degrees) water at 18 minutes. It turned out clear colored but a little
cloudy and tasted very "dirty" and not mineral tasting at all. Next attempt
was 8 oz. with 90 degrees for 8 minutes with virtually the same results. Next
I used 8 oz. at room temp and let go for 40 minutes - there was much yellow
clouding and the silver wires were very oxidized - the solution was very cloudy
and with an extremly dirty bitter taste. Also after this I noticed large
pitting holes on the silver wire. On the next try, I boiled the water, 16 oz.
and let it run for a period of 14 minutes. I then got a very clear solution
that was very light yellow but it still had a slightly dirty bitter taste.

My first (and only) experience with cs was a purchase from a health food
store. The solution was slightly yellow and perfectly clear and had such a
slight taste of minerals. The stuff that I have made so far does not have a
mineral taste but a dirty bitter (as if you had soaked some grimy oily car
engine bolts in a bucket of water) taste. Is this because I had too much
oxidation from the silver? I know my water must be good; it is steam distilled
so it should not have minerals. My wires are about 16 gauge.

Are there any standard methods for making cs at home using the home made
generator; as far as quantities, water temp and activation time? or is it
simply left up to the individual to try to reach some uniformity. Thanks for
any help that anyone can provide.

  Kathy
