It might be interesting if one were to read Louis Lamore's western novels, about the pioneers trekking west. Their containers were generally maple barrels. The bouncing of the covered wagons would provide considerable agitation for dispersion of any silver activity. As a point of interest charred oak barrels are for whiskey making. One time I made a cheese press out of oak. Gads what a horrible taste oak gives milk produces. Should have used maple.
