Any comments on this? Do you think it could be harmful?
Oh, and there only charging $80 for a 1 oz bottle.

The proposed mechanism of ViraDerm as an antiviral is unclear. Studies
indicate that its patented formulation and its active ingredient, stannous
fluoride (SnF2) interferes with cellular metabolism and cellular membranes of
microorganisms including viral membranes of the herpes virus.
ViraDerm contains an antimicrobial  preparation which has been safely used by
the medical community for more than 40 years. Over the years many
investigators have shown that stannous fluoride inhibits bacterial growth.
Recent studies and observations by scientists proposed that ionized tin or
stannous affect microbial cellular membranes.
Recent studies conducted by Embro Research Corporation, Procter & Gamble and
Product Investigations show that ViraDerm can influence the course of a
herpes virus infection. It has been proposed that stannous ions ( Sn ++) in
ViraDerm bind to the membrane of herpes simplex virus preventing its ability
to infect epidermal tissue.  It has been proposed that stannous released by
ViraDerm is capable of crosslinking herpes virus DNA by bonding to its
negatively charged phosphate groups.
