I don't know that to be true, but consider the following: Are the Ag ionic
crystal bonds greater than the attraction of the chloride ion? I think it
must be so. If not, then there is no particulate silver in the body once
the Ag particles hit the HCL in the stomach.
There is the complex transport theory. But for the transport substances to
work with particles there must be particles-charged--, but not ions to
start. It seems unlikely to me that the transport complex theory, which
must release the particles later for them to function, must be a looser bond
that that which will occur with Cl, and if the complex and Cl are competing
for the Ag, the Cl will surely win. I'll bet Frank and Ivan will have a
better explanation of these issues, should they be interested.
Which do you think is more reactive; a small crystal of silver metal with a
positive charge [the origin of which I do not understand] or a monatomic
silver ion missing an electron?

I thought that Ag particles would not react with Cl. Another project for
someone with the time and equipment. >>

James: Well, if THAT were correct, why is Frank warning us not to mix
chloride salts with CS, particularly when you consider that, according to
Frank, it's the silver PARTICLES that provide the germicidal activity? Roger
