JBB,

Most electrogenerated CS has a high proportion of positively charged silver
ions, due to the mechanism of the electrolysis process. This enables the
silver to react with substances on pathogen surfaces, and accounts for some
of silver's antibacterial effect.

Those silver colloids which advertise a negative charge will be metallic
particles, which are neutral in themselves but adsorb, (have attached to the
surface) hydroxyl ions which are negatively charged.

Marshal has chosen to use a form of words which seem to state that the
silver ions in electrogenerated CS solutions are part of some compound such
as silver nitrate, silver sulphide or silver chloride. This is obviously not
so as distilled water carries none of these complexing substances.

Whether this is what he meant to say I don't know. However, he also states
that metallic silver is the element in CS, which is also not so (or at least
is not the primary element by a wide margin) as he would no doubt discover
if he were to test practically any of the CS products on the market or those
made and used at home.

In mentioning that Argaria is caused by silver compounds, he confuses the
end result with the element ingested, and while the absorption rate of
silver is much higher for some silver compounds he fails to note that it is
possible to get Argaria by the massive absorption of silver supplied in the
elemental form.

I have yet to see a study which details the greater effectiveness of
elemental silver vs silver compounds of the type he describes, or vs silver
ions.

Regards
Ivan.
