Well, it does show that the active ingredient eliminating bacterial
infection and inducing stem cell production from fibroblasts which causes
the regeneration of tissue, bone and nerve cells, is the silver ion. And not
only that, it proves that silver ions are released from elemental silver in
the presence of biological fluids.

The finger in question belongs to a mature man, who by looking at the state
of his regenerated finger nail took no pains in the antiseptic sense...which
I guess does make it somewhat spectacular.
