Wow..........I just used the archives for the first time. I had a question about a black tongue, and I had remembered that had been discussed before, so I checke the archives, and found that Hanan had a black tongue at one time, and James (good ole James) suggested that perhaps she had some pepto bismol.............that can cause your tongue to go black. Well..........that is exactly what happened to me!!!! I took pepto last night before bed, and this morning woke up with a completely black tongue and gums.
I am posting this, because I want you to know how my thinking process went..........because I used CS in a way that I never had before last night, as well. I went to a friends house last night who has a dog, and on the way home, my head started itching severely. I mean...............maddeningly. I was itching my head until it started to bleed, and I was STILL itchy!!! I have never had my head itch like this. I was panicking that I had gotten lice, or fleas or something. ~:0} Then I thought...............well.............maybe if I put some CS on it, that will get rid of the "cooties". "CS works for everything." So I sprayed it on my itchy scalp, and I got instant relief. Not only did it stop itching, but it didn't itch all night. Well...............when I woke up this morning, I had a metal taste in my mouth. You know, the aftertaste that you sometimes get after taking CS. I thought, "that's odd, I sprayed it on my head, not in my mouth..........." I drank 32 ounces of water, and my mouth still tasted like metal. I went about my morning, getting my kids changed, and dressed, and fed (still with this metal taste in my mouth)...........and finally got about to brushing my teeth. When I looked in the mirror, my gums were all black, as well as my tongue!~! COMPLETELY BLACK!!!!!! My mind went crazy..............CS on my head, absorbed by my tongue..............."cooties" on my tongue now.................what am I going to do?????! Then I remembered that someone on the list had the same problem and decided to check the archives...........that's where James mentioned the pepto bismol thing, and I remembered that I had taken some the night before, as well, for my heartburn (which I hardly ever get anymore)............................ So...........If I hadn't been on the silver list.............I might've said that CS gave me a black tongue...................see how these things get started!!?? Am I am a 3 year user of CS to boot.......................AND make my own! While I was on the archives, I looked up eczema for a friend of mine, and got some answers on THAT too!! (Thanks Tracy). So................if any of you have never searched the archives, check them out!! They are packed with information that is very easy to find, and also very quick! I was shocked at how quickly it sorted everything out..............faster than most web pages take to load!
