Dear CS Enthusiasts, In another CS discussion the viewpoint has been raised that it is not possible to make reliable CS in concentrations higher than about 30ppm. My experience indicates otherwise, but I'm new here. As I've said before I apply 3200ppm CS, the product Microdyn, to earthenware water purifiers, and in so doing am able to achieve 100% pathogen removal by the filters. Also, I know of someone who dilutes Microdyn as a general health remedy, with very good results.
The other discussion presents the following opinions, numbered, which appear to me erroneous. Any comment would be appreciated. There are folks here in South Asia who would like to dilute the concentrate CS for health use, and I do not wish to steer them the wrong direction, as could be done with either of the opposing views. What about these assertions: 1. Concentration as high as 500ppm can only be achieved when a protein binder is used, and this inhibits the efficacy of the CS. 2. In general for concentrations above 30ppm there is agglomeration, then fewer particles in the water. 3. Stay with clear, low ppm Also, can anyone indicate what is wrong with yellow CS? I'm aware the particles may be a bit larger, but to what bad effect? I believe that we can get CS to a lot more people in the concentrated form, but I'm uncomfortable with the controversy. As dilute CS in bulk it seems too expensive for many. Thanks, Reid -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
