BUT although they're strong enough, nearly all hard drive magnets have both
north and south poles on the same face so are not recommended for magnet
therapy; you want North, that's the side that would seek the south pole of
the earth.

People and practitioners in the know completely avoid Nikken products not
just because of the price, but specifically because of that bipolar
configuration.

What do I do? I recommend to buy  a roll of 7/16" neo magnets from
www.wondermagnet.com and make your own wrap out of several -- all pointing
North side into the target area. You get enough gradient and power, 750
milligauss desired at treatment point. Or buy a 2" neo magnet 1/8 or more
thick, for serious magnet therapy.

To Dr. Frank Stagg: Who is this guy? Your opinion is going down in
history...Sir; don't just sit on your past accomplishments (your degree). I
know you're an MD but learning never stops does it? You should learn
something about the static magnet therapy before you knock it or the
practitioners. Try the bioelectromagnetics society to help get yourself up
to speed. An international society of highly regarded scientists that
publishes its peer-reviewed findings. http://www.bioelectromagnetics.org/
Abstracts from several years of research are available freely.

I suggest that you should also learn more before you try to speak as an
informed source on pulsed magnetics. The same society or the rife list will
be useful for that. FYI, MRI is of much too short duration to be very useful
and the frequency's wrong too, but if you did set your MRI to a frequency
other than hydrogen resonance like a Rife machine however you could cure
something with it with repeated treatments, rather than just take pictures.
But you don't really need that much power.
