Wahoo! I asked for feedback and Bill done gived me some! <GRIN> > The subject I can most ably address is the ready demonization of the > ligitimate CS purveyors on the list. ... I'm not sure how I have been guilty of bashing "legitimate CS purveyors", unless objecting to uncivilized behavior is somehow equivalent to criticizing their products or business practices. To the extent that their business practices are brought to the list in the first place, they are out of line. > It is dificult enough to bring these curious neophites to a basic > understanding of this wonderful natural antibiotic through the fog of > FDA, FTC and AMA hired bashers and blue schills without the further > confusion of a psyco ward of pseudo scientific types ... [and UFO > wackos, etc...] Every vendor has to overcome the credibility issue, as do we. There's room for more than one voice. If we don't satisfy people's needs, they won't come back and they won't recommend us to others. It's a self limiting problem, yes? > In my opinion, listers should confine their questions and answers to > the subject of colloidal silver and very closely related subjects. > They should be quickly removed from the forum after being once warned > of violations. My job would certainly be simpler if I followed those guidelines. > Psycos should not be allowed to run around the cabin saying any dumb > thing in the name of democracy. Folks who've been here any amount of time know that there is no such thing as democracy on this list. Benign dictatorship, yes. Democracy, no... > In short, Mike, I think you are a bright guy and very knowledgable > on CS and I am sure many other subjects as well. We are blessed to > have you as a moderator Why, thank you! I imagine you're a bright guy too! <LOL> > ... but I sense you are near deserting us unless things improve. I > don't blame you and I just barely care, but I still do, though only > barely. I can imagine you've about given up on our list being a serious venue of the kind you would prefer. Aside from our hodge-podge of amateurs and "aggresively alternative" thinkers, our oft-times focus on do-it-yourself rather than store bought CS and equipment is hardly compatible with your interests. The best you can hope for is to be on the short list of "legitimate" products we pass on to those who ask. If I am near to deserting anything, it's the belief that we can continue to get along without some serious pruning -- of *SOMETHING*, though I'm not yet sure just what. > What you need to do is kick some serious butt (can we say that > here?). ... Got it! > In short, you are the pilot on this plane. Instead of cowering behind > a flimsy cockpit door and having highjackers kick it down and take > over the plane, you must take action and eleminate the offenders. I'm being deliberative, not cowering. Really!! <sniff> But you're right. I *AM* the pilot of this plane!! <thumps chest> > After all you are armed with a gun that won't even hurt the plane. Well, that much is debatable. Kicking people off always has a down side. It's worth making a reasonable effort to gain their cooperation. If there's any real problem at hand, it's the fact we spent too much time on autopilot over the last couple of years and have wandered off course as a result. (To torture your analogy further.) > You should do it in silence so as not to disturb the other > passengers. Ever heard of deterrence? I've only booted a handful in 4 years. Always with a public announcement, which was usually met with a general sigh of relief and a few grumbles from friends of the departed. Of the things we agree on Bill, this is at the top. > Just make some judgements, eject some psycos and let the pieces fall > where they may. It's better if you tell people what you *really* think! <GRIN> Thank you for your spirited input!
