It sounds to me as if you're in for some tough decisions, deciding
whether or not, what with all the new customers, it would be worth your
while to put some serious muscle into having a list that suits your
needs. If you could just mold the volunteer efforts of the list into
what helps sell your wonderful CS. Wow! You'd be on easy street.

Bill, The bit about inferior CS is a real blow to the gut. Oh my aching
stomach. Hmmm. How shall I make that feel better? Two ounces of the
superior CS or four ounces of the inferior stuff? Is that a tough
decision? The superior stuff costs $5.00 an ounce and the inferior stuff
costs $0.02 an ounce.

Bill, This is unfair to Mike. If you would have a look at the OT list
you would see that the vast majority of peripheral subjects are to be
found there. I don't think it is always easy to separate out the things
that are not in rigid focus. And it would also appear that an occasional
dose of different subjects offers a more holistic approach to CS and the
real world.

Hey Bill, Do you mean to say that the pot might be calling the kettle
black? May I suggest that if you could just tear yourself away from the
very lucrative job of making really superior CS, for just an hour or two
a day, then you could do your own yahoo list and kick off the psychos
you don't like. Or do you pay too high an opportunity cost?

P.S. I hope I make my point in a FRIENDLY way. If my cost benefit
numbers are in any way an exageration it is with no such intent, just by

P.P.S. Joanne, Stephen and Others, Sorry I'm a bit slow to respond to
messages like Bills. One problem is that I ge the digest and another is
that half way around the world, in South Asia. I would like to add that
if folks like Stephen and Frank (?) leave it would likely be that
they're too busy making money. Still, I too would miss their invaluable
expertise. R
