Thank you, Jason, for a superb essay --- IMHO this should be read and
absorbed by everyone! Judy Down Maine

Wow, Julie...

Yes, the description of the problem with the nervous system does seem like a
virus. The problem with such viruses is that they are very hard to get to
and eliminate( hiding in nerve ganglia, perhaps ). I know that CS ( or
should I say I believe? ) injected into the bloodstream can make a big
difference in such viral conditions. But I think it does so by isolating
the virus, keeping it out of the bloodstream, not eliminating it. The body
must be restored to health, and one would be hard pressed to find any magic
bullet that would do so.

Since your friend is both a part of the medical field, and is unfamiliar
with natural or alternative medicine, she faces a very tough dillema.
Obviously such a person is not going to jump up, grab a hypo, and start
injections! Nor should one be necessarily encouraged to do so!

In such a situation, a treatment philosophy must be developed. In doing so,
the predisposition of the individual concerned is always important. It
really doesn't matter if a solution that will work is given, if the person
would never consider applying it.

In situations such as your friend's, addressing diet is very safe ground.
In natural medicine, one doesn't "apply a treatment" per se, one really
chooses a direction. That direction is always geared toward making
adjustments in lifestyle that support optimum health. This philosophy is
very hard to argue with, and promotes a healthy open mind without triggering
the overly skeptical mind.

If I, or other enthusiasts in our group, were to compile a list of things to
do, any sane person would look at it, freak out, and throw it away. "It is
too much! I can't go through with it!"

There is a very nice secret for dealing with people in these matters.
First, you wait until you are asked. Nobody likes being clubbed with alt
med, or anything else! Once asked, it is wise to take actions in UNITY. In
other words, don't compile something, like a list of remedies and a stack of
books to read, and say "Ta ta, enjoy!" Walk them through it, be with them
through it. This is healing. The biggest issue that turns the "normal"
person to seek solutions in alt med is FEAR. FEAR, because they KNOW that
what they are doing is not working. When you walk with someone, you can
help alleviate their fear, and grant them the personal support they very
much need. The secret, simply stated, is... NOT alone.

The solution has to be attractive on some level, and expectation is the
greatest killer of hope. How many tinkerers on this CS list found a great
attraction because they could play with this fancy toy - the CS generator!
See what makes it tick? How it works? Sit and watch it? Improve upon it?
And through this process, found a lifelong friend... Whatever the
attraction is, it must be there, beyond the fear of the illness.

If I were in your position, and the individual were open to colloidal
silver, I would start CS on the days off at about 1/2 ounce every 30 minutes
during the waking hours ( for a maximum of about eight ounces a day to
start ) for three consecutive days, and twice daily with four ounce doses.
This is assuming that the nurse is working 12 hour shifts ( common for
hospital nurses ) and has three days off. I have some interesting reports
on viruses that suggest continuous use must be adhered to for about one
month in order to see results when one is considering a chronic condition.
16 ounces daily might be a better starting point, but getting that done
might be overly optimistic!

Like some others on the list, the more I use colloidal silver, the more I
become convinced that frequency of use is more critical than amount
consumed.

You may want to consider reading up on a macrobiotic diet. Do everything in
one's power to support proper liver function. Simple things include plenty
of good water, fresh lemon water, uncooked garlic, natural whole foods...
Things that will invigorate the body rather than deplete it, to start.

In short, with such an extensive condition it can be baffling to find a
treatment that will respond. So you don't look for "a treatment", you start
to apply an ideology, and the ideology must be one that the person can
integrate into their current state of being.
