You find PVC in places where you wouldn't expect as well. A lot of photo albums contain PVC in the plastic and as it breaks down, it gives off poisonous toxins. I feel sorry for people who work in places that make plastics, and are totally unaware of the chemical harm they are doing to their bodies.
