However, the idea of cutting off someone's body parts feels horrible to me. Circumcision and genital mutilation developed out of a hatred of the body. Yes, it's a bit more work to keep a baby boy's genitalia clean, but isn't it worth it? Similarly, I can't imagine cutting off part of a dog's tail or its ears.
