Pam,
Whenever you have colored CS, it is usually one of
only a few reasons.

Either your water is not pure (has minerals, etc., in
it), or the silver is not pure silver, or you are
cooking it too long.

If you are using a quart jar, first add one cup of CS,
then 3 cups of DW. Position the wires about 2" apart.
If using 12 volts, brew for 45 minutes. If using 27-30
volts, brew for 20 minutes. If the water is turning
color before the brewing time is over, I would suspect
your water is not pure. This doesn't mean you can't
make good, effective CS, but, if the water has some
minerals in it, you will not likely be able to make
clear CS. The CS you have made is perfectly good CS,
but you should ingest more of it than you would need
to if it were clear. Unless the silver you have been
using is not pure, .999% Fine Silver (in which case
you should not ingest one drop of it) having colored
CS does not make it toxic in any way, just a little
less effective (which is why to drink more of it).

If you find that, after brewing your CS for, say, 45
minutes (depending on your voltage), the CS still
turns gold or brown, brew your next batch for 35
minutes and see what happens.

Now that you have silver wire, tell us what happens.
If you have the same coloring experience, you are
probably brewing too long.

Anytime I over-brew, I get colored CS. I use that for
myself and my family. I only sell the clear stuff (the
customers only want clear).
