The problem is that the doctors and pharmacy at the hospital don't have
any idea what these supplements are...........and the friends that he is
getting his supplement info from aren't educated in mainstream medicine
and have absolutely no idea about what the medications that he is on,
even are. So.............I told him that he needed to really be sure
that he was making educated decisions before he gave him any additional
supplements.........and he pleaded with me to reach out to all of you.
Hence this email.

I'd recommend getting a copy of the PDR for herbal medicine it's made by
the same company that makes the regular PDR
It's also available online but you need to pay to use it it's at one of
these addresses I forget which www.pdr.net www.pdr.com
www.pdr.org depending on what herbs you are using it may or may not have
any info I've used and looked up milk thistle
before my wife has hepatitis c and between it and cs her liver enzymes got
better I'd use at least 600 mg in the PDR milk
thistle is one of the herbs listed that has been medically proven the help
and is listed as a treatment for some kinds of
poisoning I forget what kind and I've misplaced my copy of the PDR I also
know that when my wifes liver was in real bad
shape if she took a couple milk thistle pills with acetaminophen it kept
her liver from swelling and hurting if you ever want
a real shock look up acetaminophen in the PDR and look at what is
considered to be a fatal dose and compare it with a bottle
of otc extra strength anything with it in it good luck getting him out of
the hospital
