Indeed, please!

I see you did read the list rules! Good job. <grin>

You have to work pretty hard to earn banishment from the list, but I
think this exchange has illustrated *PERFECTLY* why
religious/spiritual topics are listed in the rules as "prohibited."

The rule states:

"Religion, mysticism, or spirituality are to be avoided as topics for
discussion. There is no comment you can make that will not risk
offending someone. Overt evangelization is not permitted. Do not reply
to religious remarks made by others."

Re-read that last part: "Do not reply to religious remarks made by
others." Y'hear that Ken? Rob? James? Marshall? <hehe>

> Next we will be told that we can't end our emails with God Bless.

Nope! Immediately after the above prohibition on religious discussion,
the rules specifically state:

"I am not asking you to "de-God" everything you say, do or think,
however. Brief greetings, thanks, and prayer requests or offerings are
acceptable. The occasional "God bless", or "you're in our prayers"
will not be seen as a transgression. Modest tag lines or signature
files may also be used."

That's the rule I wrote, and I'm stickin' to it!

Indeed, that's what's demanded of us if the list is to work well, as it
generally does!

...Just as we should be reticent of posting things that would offend
the Christian, Muslim, Jew, or anyone else.

A fine line must be walked between being what you are and imposing it
on others. Keywords for all: sensitive; generous; tolerant; forgiving.

Hehehehehe!! Y'see how easy it is for things to spin out of control?

My personal view? Liberals or conservatives or "moderates" (whatever
they are)... There's plenty of blame to go around for the messes we've
created in this world. Each tends to see their "own kind" as
blameless. Makes for some great arguments, eh?

Which is why politics is *also* prohibited on the list. So let's not
see any responses to *this* little jab, thank you very much!

Yeah, that would work really well... NOT!

So, to summarize:

Religion and politics are verboten. This includes spiritual, mystical,
or occult topics that may not be specifically religious, but are likely
to get "in the face" of others who are. The topic here is Colloidal
Silver and related alternative health matters.

I expect all of you to let others *be* who they are, not take offense
from minor things, and not to respond in-kind when offended. Take it
up with me first, off-list.

Lastly, please understand that there might be a few more posts to this
thread as people respond before reading *all* of their mail. So if more
comes through, do *not* reply or rebut, no matter what!

(Make a habit of catching up on all your mail before replying to any of
it, please!)

Let's learn our lessons from this exchange and let the thread die now.

Be well,
