It supports it.  It is simply outside the range of human vision.

Here is the absorption of CS vs size:

size - absorption -> apparent color (complement of the absorption)
atomic - uv -> clear
very small particle - uv -> clear
small particles - violet -> yellow
medium particles - blue-violet -> yellow-orange (gold)
blue -> orange
blue-green -> orange-red
green -> red
yellow-green -> red-violet
larger particles - yellow -> violet
large particles - orange -> blue
very large particles - red -> green
huge particles - infrared -> clear
