Catching up- Can anyone respond to the factual nature of the statement
here- about silver ions killing organisms in the soil?

method to test for silver concentrations and have noticed this effect.
The sludge would likely kill organisms in the soil
(silver ions will) and could cause plants to die as they need these
organisms for uptake of nutrients through their roots. I do dry the
sludge and save it, when a large wound or sore occurs I mix it with olive
oil to form a paste and spread it on. It seems to work well, but it does
stain.
