seriously folks (isn't life just too serious to be taken too seriously?) I am not in a hurry exactly Ivan. Minimally, production should exceed use (I was out of silver yesterday so wanted to keep going). I am in search of quality, consistency efficacy and efficiency, since I am using the silver for a serious need (HepC). My daughter just underwent some minor, but potentially serious surgery and I felt confident in supplying her with some for external and internal use. And it DID save the last vestiges of my fuscia plants! I would love to have enough to supply some to others. Plus the less time spent with routine the more for experimenting. I am not looking for commercial level production though. I do like to tweak and improve! This is fun and does appeal to my interests on a broader scale with the multiple uses, the access to health care by those without access to the "conventional" version. I am new to silver, but have an "informed citizen" or better level of knowledge in the alt health area, way before I had a serious personal need, or knew I did. Actually I owned a health food store and sold Silver while not trusting the product fully. My lack of trust went back to my days in Environmental work - enforcement and site cleanup. I do not have an advanced science degree, but silver was and may still be one of the listed "Hazardous Wastes" with other metals based on specific tests that measured leachability in solids. So I am an open-eyed convert who still appreciates both science and experience, your technical expertise and qualitative testimonial, and hope we both maintain the integrity to see the difference, without loosing that gleam in our eye that propels us forward.
Last night I cut the electrodes to length ~8", as long as possible in container with room for stir bar, used the 1/2 gallon, and set the X10 to reduce current and then shut off within 8 hrs. I did leave the electrodes spaced at the 20mm. When I asked Ivan about the 50mm spacing I did anticipate the answer, but had such good success with 20mm with a shorter electrode length and constant stirring I thought I would be within limits. The X10 signal gave me some trouble so I was tired when everything was ready. Feeling confident that I would underprocess I went to sleep. I was wakened by my beautiful fiancé who knew that the black stuff and the dark color were not what I desired - confirming Ivan's recommendation in spades. Stubbornly, I will try the same 20mm spacing, increase current reduction rate and see if I can get some clear to light yellow brew before I sleep. Incidentally, I purchased my zapper (Zapper2Plus) and silver generator (CS-300) as well as an expensive "microstimulator" (Alpha-Stim) and made a shoebox zapper a few years back when I had no prior knowledge, no perceived health need, and more money. Didn't really use them much. Just had that curiosity and a compelling interest in helping others. So now I hope my knowledge can catch up in these areas - and I'm ready to learn about pulsers, light therapy as well as the gadgets I have. Consider the above my introduction to this group.
