Check the archives for great reading. There is no real agreement on this list as to whether ionic or colloid is best, since everything contains some of both, and everything works, it is hard to say for sure which is doing the work.
But there is no doubt from Robert Becker's work that the ionic is important for the cell dedifferentiation. Most of us think that the ionic is best for healing, and colloid is best for killing pathogens, and that a combination is likely best for topical applications which likely require both, but there is no hard data to really even back that up I am aware of. I think that if you are mixing with DMSO for transport, then I think that works primarily with the ionic.
