First let us correct some errors.

The anode the positive electrode is the one that supplies the silver . The
cathode can be anything as it will silver plate.

#14 wire is 1/16" in diameter not 1/8"

In the calculation you only use the area of the anode (+) electrode. make it
large.

None of the LM series will work over 36 volts. You will have to find the drawing
that was on this list about a year ago for a higher voltage arrangement.
