I've had tin-NY-tus since the middle 50's when I was on the rifle team in military school. We fired in an all metal building. No one knew about hearing protection then and if they did you would have been a "wuss" if you used it. I have steady tones of several different frequencies, with some coming in and out. Mostly I don't notice it unless I think about it for some reason. I have tried CS in the ears, H2O2, for 15 min in each ear, and used 50% DMSO with 25% CS and 25% H2O2 for an ear infection (didn't work completely, but it did stop the vertigo associated with it). Also tried acupuncture, and chiropractic and still had the infection and the tinnitus. I finally got rid of the infection while trying to get rid of a flu-like symptom, with Beta Glucan, VitC, Beta Carotine, and another antioxidant I can't think of right now. I took this stuff every 4 hours for about 4 days. Still had the dry cough and laziness, but the ear infection went away for the first time in a couple of years. It's all trial and error isn't it?
