Jack, Thanks for the suggestions: I'm ahead of you on that, what you suggest is exactly what I have been doing for a few months now. Today, I decided to try "storing" the electrodes in DW, by rinsing and refilling the brew jar, and setting the generator in place ready to go for the next batch. I'm curious to see if that has any effect at all on results. paula
