Keep away from any sources of hydrogen sulfide. Tarnish is silver sulfide.
Keep away from foods and areas that have foods that give this off, such as eggs and baked beans. Do not pass gas in the area, and keep away from bathrooms, and run vents when bathrooms are in use.
