Seasilver agrees to warn consumers about its product
EDMOND JACOBY---Staff Writer

"Seasilver USA...has agreed to the terms of a court order
that includes a declaration that the company's nutritional
supplement has little or no value in the treatment of cancer,
diabetes or other diseases...
Between 400 and 500 North County employees were thrown out of
work...Bela and Jason Berkes...who founded and...ran Seasilver,
managed to negotiate ongoing paychecks in the form of
$250-per-day living allowances...projections...that the company
would return to full operation and begin shipping products as
early as this week...appear...highly unlikely...To buy a bottle
of the product, a consumer must acknowledge having read and
understood the disclaimer, according to the injunction, and
distributors for the company will be responsible for
guaranteeing that the disclaimer is acknowledged...distributors,
too, are enjoined by the court's order from making false statements
about the product and are prohibited from making any statements to
consumers that conflict with or mitigate the disclaimer.
Calls seeking comment...were not returned..."
