Wish I knew more about dogs. I'd try nebulizing though. For my pet bunny
with snuffles, I use CS with pure MSM powder dissolved in to the point of
saturation as the nebulizing solution. It has helped him tremendously. If its
safe for a rabbit (rabbits should not be given CS orally as it can destroy
their gut flora) it should certainly be safe for dogs.
If there is a lot of mucous and his nose is truly clogged I'd add a few drops
of DMSO to the nebulizing mix of CS/MSM. I hope you get answers from someone
more knowledgeable than I.
HTH,
paula

This is in regard to a pom resuce. Pulled 3 poms into rescue yesterday, 2 of
the 3 have severe kennel cough, the third is getting it. One of two already
with it is to the point of possibly giving up. He is severely neglected (a
stray brought in) - hair matted to the skin, nose clogged with green gook,
coughing constantly, teeth a beyond rotten, has lost at least 3# since was
original brought in shelter on 7/10, WILL NOT EAT. Have tried canned catfood,
babyfood meat, boiled hamburger - Nada. Help.
  Sue
