Just so the newer folks know, I do read the list daily and try to step in when things start to get unruly -- or *too far* off topic. If you click on the web site link in the footer, and then click through to List Rules, you'll find the following under the heading of "Courtesy Always" ... "I expect civil, courteous, and considerate behavior at all times and in all discussions, regardless of topic. Aggressive behavior is not allowed. Attacks, ridicule or insults against the person, ideas, education, beliefs, or opinions of any other list member are not acceptable behavior. This applies equally to off-list behavior toward list members." So just keep your temper folks. When things start to get rocky, sometimes, as in this case, I will quietly prod the appropriate person(s) in private e-mail. So don't assume you need to step in. Also in the list rules... "Criticism of other list members' behavior or how the list is being run must be directed to me, the list owner, privately and not on the list. No List Cops! " The Aspertame debate won't be settled here. As such we should wind down those threads pretty soon and get back to CS related things. It's tough to believe that anything as blatant as the Aspertame conspiracy could possibly be real. After all, the authorities are unanimous that the stuff is absolutely safe.
