> We give our horse 32 ounces a day. He weighs 1000+ pounds. We were giving him 16 ounces a day but since the West Nile virus showed up we doubled the dose. We have a pond and lots of mosquitoes so it's a safety measure.
Hi Trem ~ A horse owner neighbor came by today on horseback, advising he needed the mobile vet to come by to vaccinate his horses for WNV. We live in sunny southern California and there aren't many mosquitos, so I was puzzled by his fear of WNV. I am curious tho, are you vaccinating for WNV and giving CS or just using the CS as a preventative? Also, if you are giving your horse 32 ozs./day, what size batches of CS do you make? Thanks!
