I think there is some confusion on using humidifiers for nebulizers.  Here
are the facts:

1. A steam type humidifier will leave all solutes behind as it distills the
water. Thus this type cannot be used as a nebulizer, plus it could cause
serious steam burns.

2. A mechanical type humidifier (like a spinning disk that throws out a
mist) will tend to produce droplets that are too large.

3. An untrasonic humidifier is just right, it will produce a very fine mist
that contains all the silver in the particles. However, if there is a filter
for the water, it must be removed, or the silver will likely be filtered
out.
