Jonathan - I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you find answers to your questions. One thing to know about traditional doctors, as in the case of a friend of ours who has multiple health problems and he is currently being treated by an Oncologist. When I gently suggested green tea has been used to shrink tumors etc. he asked his Doctor and was told if he tried any alternative medicine/herbs etc. to go find another doctor. I understand in the sense that pharmacology is involved and if you add some things into the mix, it could make the doctors job difficult. That being said, if it were my life I could not stay away from alternative methods.
