Okay gang, the first step in securing the list against this new virus threat has been taken.
The maximum size of message that the list will forward has been reduced to 20 kilobytes, which will block this variant. Most list messages are under 5k, so it shouldn't be a problem except if you're careless about trimming or you're allowing your mail program to gussy your messages up with a lot of fancy HTML formatting and "stationery"... which you shouldn't do on mailing lists anyway. If you send a message that's on the big size and it doesn't reflect back to you within an hour or two, then it's probably been blocked due to size. Be well, Mike D.
