I'd appreciate some advice about spider bite treatment, which may be that of a brown recluse. Before remembering that DMSO releases histamines and thus probably shouldn't be used on insect bites, I dabbed it with a mixture of 50/50 CS:DMSO plus a little gentian violet. After 24 hours it looked about the same (quarter sized red area surrounding the darker colored little bite lesion. Actually the red area might now be a bit larger, not much, so decided I had nothing to lose by dabbing it again with the same mixture. Now it really itches.
As a person who would use antibiotics only as a last resort and certainly doesn't want the super drug given for something like this, I need to know what regimen to follow in case this is a recluse bite. Drink lots of CS? I have a small silverpuppy and make my own. Thanks, DByron -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
