In addition to removing infected clothes, laundering them immediately upon exposure to poison ivy, then bathing yourself in hot water; "add--bathe with old-fashioned Octagon Soap". Also, if your dog or cat has been exploring in PI, wash them immediately, as they can bring in the unwanted Urishinol (PI) and rub against you and furnishings, continuing the discomfort.
