They will not help the symptoms associated with the common cold or many other flu-like illnesses caused by viruses that circulate in the winter." So how are we supposed to know which virus is making us sick? Also, from the same page: "When used for prevention, they are about 70% to 90% effective for preventing illness in healthy adults." Hmm. These drugs have side effects, only work against a specific type of virus, and may or may not be effective. So how do you know your money is well spent? I think I'll stick with cs:) I have found it 100% effective against every type of infection - from Shingles and cold sore viruses to bacterial infections such as redeye and earaches. And no side effects! Sorry to hear of your cold. I haven't had time to go through the previous posts, but I wonder if there could have been some problem with the cs. Maybe it wasn't as strong as you thought, or was contaminated, or perhaps there was something wrong with the dw. I found the dw can give strange results, and the manufacturers have no idea what changed. They only use a TDS meter (Total Dissolved Solids) to check their dw, and cannot detect subtle changes such as the township adding more chlorine to the drinking water. Every time this happens, I have to go through a complete examination of all the local dw sources and see who is making decent product. Also, I found that using sublingual absorption seems to work much better with high-ppm cs, above 20ppm or so. I used to drink 8 oz of 5-10ppm cs made with high current density, and found very dramatic improvement after I discovered how to make 20ppm cs. (Basically the same idea as Ken's Silverpuppy.) At first, I was reluctant to drink it since it was so much stronger, and used sublingual instead. The results were amazing. Ever since then, I no longer drink the cs, but spit it out after 10 minutes. I never get a sore throat unless I slack off, and taking a dose kills the symptoms very quickly. Hope you are feeling better! Best Wishes, Mike Monett -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
