Hi John,

They're green and the coyotes love them.  They definitely like fruit.  They
also eat our pears although they wait for them to fall.  The tree isn't one
that is easily climbed.  The apple tree has been pruned so it has a shape
that allows them to go up into it.  They also eat salmonberries.  I see it
in their scat.  My dog also self feeds on the blackberries.  They have
thorns so it's interesting to watch her do it without getting snagged.  She
does it beside me while I'm picking them for myself.

My feeling is they will eat anything in season.  After all they can't go
hungry if there's something that is edible available.
