That's three of us now. Wow! It's funny that I never even considered CS
for this. I always tend to forget I even have it until that first bout of
cold weather. I guess it was the shower that triggered the memory since,
like you, I would also get HORRIBLE itching after a bath or shower. I also
had it on my shins. I wonder what it is about the shins? My upper legs
never itched much. Just my abdomen and lower legs (front and back).

I take about the same amount of CS you do - probably around 8 oz. I've
upped it a bit with all the nasty viruses going around right now, though.

List,
I have just realized the same experience. At the approaching winter months,
I dreaded them. My shins would itch so bad after showers or tub baths tha I
could hardly stand it.
I just realized from last year and now this year I don't have that problem
now!
Wow! And I only injest 4 to 6 oz a day of 5-10 PPM CS per day.
I'll pass this on..................Thom

Hi,

So that’s why my shins would get so ichy during winter months. I
couldn’t figure this out.

I just thought it was normal because of the water and colder weather. I have
been using CS

Now for about 3 weeks and I haven’t had a bout of itchiness since. Winter
just started though.

Thanks for the reminder I’ll watch for it now that you’ve made this
observation..

Sincerely..Ernie

Subject: CS>CS &Winter eczema?

Hi all,

I was in the shower last night, and it suddenly occurred to me that, for the
first time in 10 years, I have not had my usual winter eczema symptoms! Now
I realize CS is supposed to be an antibacterial, which eczema is not, but I
have done nothing different that I can think of OTHER than take CS for the
past five months.

I usually have a MADDENING itch of my lower legs and abdomen as soon as the
first very cold weather strikes, and it goes all through the winter. I
despise medications, so I have tried every over-the-counter remedy you can
imagine - oatmeal baths, extra-dry-skin lotions, Hydrocortisone, Calamine
lotion, Benadryl (external), Udder Balm, changing detergents, wearing only
cotton clothing. NOTHING worked. I would actually wake up in the morning
with bleeding scratches where I had dug at the itch overnight. I met
someone with the same condition, and her doctor put her on steroids and a
prescription for some eczema medication. I decided to live with the itch.

Our temperatures have been in the teens and 20's here a few times in the
last couple of weeks - plenty cold enough to start my usual winter nightmare
Nothing!! My husband has also had a MARKED decrease in his usual winter
joint pains.

Has anyone else experienced this with CS?
