Answers from this list may be contradictory too. There is much variation in individual experience here as everywhere.
My own opinions:
EIS (CS) once it stabilizes seems to stay stable for a very long time. Mine does not seem to lose effectiveness over time. Perhaps your friend is using a mild silver protein product? Or drinking straight from his bottle? Contamination with saliva can make compounds that might be less effective.

Immune systems: if my own immune system could even fight off a cold by itself, I would have no need for EIS. So it is immaterial to me if I am compromising something that does not work well anyway. Without my daily EIS, I get sick. I have not needed any conventional antibiotics since starting to make and use EIS, and that can only be to the good, as I believe those do damage the immune system and the whole body and they eventually produce antibiotic resistant pathogens, which is thought not to happen with EIS. I using EIS daily orally, it might be a good idea to take a probiotic once in a while, and/or consume fermented foods like yogurt and Kefir. I personally don' t think any amount of EIS hurts my GI bacteria, but it never hurts to help them along anyway.

I have two questions concerning Colloidal Silver. The first question deals
with immunity and CS. I know from experience and research that heavy use of
antibiotics results in a compromised immune system. The immune system comes
to depend heavily on the antibiotics to fight disease and soon the
antibiotics become necessary to fight off even the simplest of germs. Does
this happen with CS? Why or why not?

I have heard comments from several friends about colloidal silver having a
shelf life or losing its potency. A friend that has made CS for years
states that towards the end of his bottle (8 ounces) he can tell the CS is
not as potent anymore, like it has lost its charge. He notices that it is
not as effective.
