I have one idea about this: given the time and headache involved in maintaining a useful archive -- meaning in part one in which the trivial and irrelevant messages are culled -- Mike might consider paying someone to do the job. Then the archives could be sold on a quarterly or semi-annual basis by subscription for a modest fee to cover expenses.

Just a thought.
