Morning Mike,
No doubt the archives have great value to some people. I have only used
them once or twice.
I have my archives by year. The total messages are near 50,000 unless I
missed a mail box or two doing the count.
Possibly my search ability in Eudora is as good or better than the
archives, allowing up to 5 different search criteria simultaneously.
As some of us know, a list can be a pain at times.
My list runs on a software called Mailman by Python, which is similar to
the software you use. It runs only on Linux or Unix because I read strong
suggestions that we not even attempt to run it on any kind of WindoZZe
operating system.
Here is an impressive list of companies that use this software.

If everyone doing webmail would change to "Real Mail", they would view the
whole world differently.
Many services such as AOL, MSN, and Walmart, ( and others ) do not even
have a genuine mail server.
Most of the poor people using these do not even know about a mail server
and how it can make life easier.
Two or three years ago, I set up a small list called "Mailhelp" to help a
few people.
At that time, I realized I simply could not help the people doing WebMail
because their hands are tied and they are limited to basic tasks of
managing their mail.
