Hi Brickeyk, I dont know about the Omron but: The ultrasonic ones will mist whatever is in the tank. If you put regular tap water in it that has lots of minerals, the minerals go right alnog with the mist nad turn everythnig white aftere while. It wolud also carry along the CS in the mist and also bacteria or whatever was in the water. So its good to use only good clean water in them.
