How can I tell if CS is being
misted or if it stays in solution?

Capture the mist and send it out for testing, or test the way you test your CS.

I have one of those fogger floating things that make a thick huge plume of fog when operating in a 10 gallon fish tank. I suspended a bowl above it, any glass will do, immersed in the fog. As the fog starts to condense on the outer walls of the bowl it will form droplets and start dripping. Capture the drips in a suitable container. Test the contents of container. In my case, I brought the sample over to Ole Bobs house and he tested it for me. Yes, there is a silver in that fog, same value as what was in the tank.

Respectfully,
Rich Adams
