Hi Ken,

Yes it is. It allows you to take massive doses without getting loose bowels.
One teaspoon of Vitamin C is 4000 mg

when you mix it with baking soda that it cretes sodium ascorbate which is 
simialr to waht the Emergen C dose when you put it in water when it fizzes

the sodium ascorbate is real easy to drink I jsut down the whole glass at once. 
Does not have much of a taste
