Hi, We lived in such a house made from bamboo blind while living in the Western Highlands of Papua, New Guinea in the 1950's. Actually we lived in three different such houses. Certainly nothing was fumigated! We did live one year in a frame house. Do not recall that we had any fewer colds and such while in the frame house, or since then in houses in the U.S.A. Cheers!
