CS>CS and Sinus Infection

I have been fighting to head off a sinus infection using CS.  In an effort to 
open my sinuses to better get the CS to where they are needed I made a 1:1 
mixture of Walgreen's nose spray (to open the passages) and CS.  Could the 
"mixture" inactivate the CS?  
   
  Can CS react with other chemicals and inactivate it?  Say like the Gatorade?
   
  Any better suggestions on battling the sinus infection?
